Bear Sighting
Discover one of the most authentic wildlife experiences in northern Spain with bear viewing in Somiedo Natural Park, one of the best places in the Cantabrian Mountains to observe the Cantabrian brown bear living freely in its natural habitat.
Organised by Somiedo Experience, this activity is led by specialised local guides with deep knowledge of the area and its wildlife. Bear viewing takes place from carefully selected observation points, always at a safe and respectful distance, using binoculars and spotting scopes. Excursions are usually scheduled at sunrise or sunset, when bears are most active, maximising the chances of sightings.
